CULTURAL FORUM
Indian culture is unique because of its diversity and variety in physical, religious, linguistic, music, racial and artistic fields. To exhibit our rich cultural heritage, a Cultural Forum in our college has been functioning since 1998. The main objective of the Forum is to motivate and enhance the students to involve in cultural activities conducted at state/national level. The enthralling performance of the students, reflecting matchless ability in presenting a vivid account of our rich cultural heritage brought laurels to our institution by securing state level/university level awards.
Swami Vivekananda says… “Education is the manifestation of perfection which is already in man”. In honour of the Jeyanthi of Swami Vivekananda, Cultural Forum of our College has been organizing an Inter-Departmental competitions ”Bliss Fest” Youth Festival which exhibits the talents of students through various events like Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Musical events, Flower carpets, Cooking, Art from Waste, Mehandhi, Ad-act, Mime, Debate, Mono Act etc. Every year the prestigious “Sarada” Award is given to the Best performer.
BLISS FEST - 2017
- The Bliss Fest- 2016 “Inter-Departmental Cultural Festival” was celebrated in our College for two days 04.02.2017 & 06.02.2017. Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal presided over the function. Manithapunithar AL.AR.S.Ramakrishnan, Devakottai inaugurated the function. Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal delivered presidential address on ‘Vivekananda’s Call to the Youth’. Various cultural competitions such as Classical Dance, Rangoli, Cartoon Drawing, Painting, Tamil Elocution, English Elocution, Cooking without Fire, Skit, Flower Carpet, Mime, Group dance, Group song, Solo song, Art from Waste, Tamil Essay writing & Poem writing were conducted. Students exhibited their talents in an excellent manner. Srimath Atmananda Maharaj, Secretary and Correspondent offered blessings.
- The Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda ‘ Youthday Festival’ was celebrated in our College for two days 12.01.2016 & 13.01.2016 as Inter-Departmental cultural competitions “Bliss-Fest 2016” .Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal presided over the function. Dr.V.Balachandran, Registrar i/c, AU inaugurated the function. Dr.S.SelvaRani ,Principal delivered presidential address on ‘Vivekananda in Chicago’. Dr.M.Selvam, Chairman, School of Management, AU delivered special address on ‘Vivekananda’s Call to the Youth’. Various cultural competitions such as Classical dance, Rangoli, Cartoon Drawing, Painting, Tamil Elocution, English Elocution, Cooking without Fire, Skit, Flower Carpet, Mime, Group dance, Group song, Solo song, Art from Waste, Tamil Essay writing & Poem writing were conducted.
