Tamil Literary Association has actively organized various activities to help young buds to build up themselves in Tamil literary works and Culture. Tamil Literary Association was started in 1998. The Association is making efforts to improve and expose the talents of the students by conducting Inter-Collegiate Seminars and Conferences. It has also taken the responsibility to encourage young talents by staging creative ideas of the students through the elocution, poem writing & essay writing.

  • On 14th October 2015, Tamil Literary Association and Cultural Forum jointly organized a Seminar on ‘Navarathiri Vizha;’. Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal delivered the inaugural address. Thavathiru Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adihalar delivered special address on Tamil Culture and Kolu Celebrations and Dr.V.ManikaVasagam, Registrar, Alagappa University felicitated the programme.Ms.M.Meenalochani, Faculty of Tamil proposed a vote of thanks.

  • Tamil Literary Seminar on "Nattramil Kaattum Nanneri" was held on 5th August 2014. Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal delivered the inaugural address. Dr.R.Ilankumaranar, D.Litt., Founder, Thiruvalluvar Thavachalai, Trichy delivered the presidential address on " Sangathamilil Vazhviyal Neyrikal". Dr.M.Selvam, Chairman, School of Management, Alagappa University delivered the special address on " Bakthi Tamilil Mukthi Neyrikal". Mr.Ilakkiya Megam N.Srinivasan, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya School, Devakottai delivered the special address on "Kaeppiya Tamill Kaanum Neyrikal ". Dr.T.R.Gurumoorthy, Director, DDE, Alagappa University, Karaikudi delivered the special address on "Neethitamilil Neraintha Neyrikal". Smt.Swami Admananda Maharaj, Secretary & Correspondent of our College offered blessings. Ms.M.Meenalochani, Faculty of Tamil delivered vote of thanks.

  • An Inter-Collegiate Seminar on the topic “Tamilin Semmozhi Panpukal” was held on 26-02- 2014. Our Principal Dr.S.SelvaRani presided over the function and delivered presidential address. Thiru. Rajmohan ,DeputySecretary, Vivekam, Malaysia delivered Special Address on ‘Arise!Awake!’. Kavanaga semmal Dr. Kalai.Chezhian, VicePrincipal , Sri Sarada Niketan Arts and Science College For Women, Kanavaipudur, Salem conducted ‘Kavanaga kalai’ events by concentrating 35 items at a time.
  • A Poetry competition on the topic “Bharathi Meendum Vanthal ” was held on 31st August 2013. About 30 students participated in the competition and prizes were distributed to the winners..
