COMPUTER SCIENCE & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FORUM
The information society challenges the education system. To impart knowledge in the field of Computer Science & Information Technology and to create awareness on Innovation & Research in the IT sector, Computer Science & Information Technology Forum was started in 2003 in our College. The forum is regularly conducting Inter-Collegiate Seminars, Workshops and exhibitions to meet the needs of variety of learners.
Activities
Annual Report for the Year 2016-17- One-day State Level Competitions PLACE IT.com-2017(Progressively Learrn Advanced Computer Education & Information Technology.com) was held on 28th January 2017. Dr. S.SelvaRani, Principal inaugurated the programs. About 50 Students from various affiliated participated in various competitions Colleges performed events on diverse topics such as Paper Presentation, Rangoli, Debugging and Animation. Dr.N.Anbazhagan, Prof and Head of Mathematics, AU delivered valedictory address and distributed the Prizes and Awards to the winners.

Dr. S.SelvaRani, Principal inaugurated the programs. Students from various Colleges performed events on diverse topics such as Paper Presentation, Rangoli, Debugging, and Animation. Dr.T.R.Gurumoorthy, Director, DDE, Alagappa University, Karaikudi delivered the special address and gave away the certificates and prizes.

Mother Theresa Women’s University, Madurai centre delivered inagural Address on “ Recent trends in Information Technology”. Dr.M.Srinivasan Manickam,
Development Manager, Sabre Travel Technology Pvt.Ltd., Bangalore delivered Key-note Address and acted as Chair person for a Technical Session.
In the Afternoon Session Mrs.A.R.Abirami Sundari, Faculty of computer science chaired a Technical Session . Faculty members from Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College for Women,
Karaikudi, Seetha Lakshmi Aachi College for Women, Pallathur and 10 students from various affiliated Colleges presented papers. Faculty members and students from
our College presented papers.
Dr.T.Meyyappan, Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Alagappa University delivered Special Address on “Green Computing” on 01.10,2013. Dr.K.Kuppusamy, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, acted as chair person for a Technical Session. Dr.K.Kuppusamy distributed certificates to participants. Mrs.T.Kalaivani Faculty of Information Technology delivered vote of thanks.
