CITIZEN CONSUMER CLUB
To create awareness and knowledge about consumer rights to students, Citizen Consumer Club has been functioning in our College since 2009.
Consumer rights
Consumer rights as stipulated in the Consumer Protection Act 1986 are:
- Right to safety
- Right to be informed
- Right to choose
- Right to be heard
- Right to seek redressal
- Right to consumer Education
- Right to basic needs
- Right to a healthy environment
Activities
- To educate students about consumer rights and consumer safety. Elocution, essay and poster making competitions are conducted in our College.
- Students participate and present papers in the symposiums and seminars conducted by Alagappa University and other institutions as well.
- Students participated in inter-collegiate competitions and obtained prizes.
