YOUTH RED CROSS
The Red Cross is an International organization meant for humanitarian services. It is a non-religious and non-political organization. Youth Red Cross [YRC] is a part of the Indian Red Cross Society [IRCS]. It has been designed to involve young people as much as possible in the movement and its activities not only as workers and also as beneficiaries.
HUMANITY, IMPARTIALITY, NEUTRALITY, INDEPENDENCE, VOLUNTARY SERVICE, UNITY and UNIVERSALITY are the seven fundamental principles of Youth Red Cross. The well defined objectives of Youth Red Cross are Protection of health and life and Service to the sick. In our college Youth Red Cross was inaugurated during 2003-04. Since, then YRC is doing service to students and society.
Activities
Annual report for the year 2016-17- On 15.10.2016, The Birthday of Dr.AbdulKalam was celebrated in a grand manner on our College premises as “Youth Inspiration Day”. Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal delivered a special address on ‘Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam – The Man of Excellence’. 300 students participated.
